Huddersfield is a not the first city that springs to mind when you are looking for a decent student city, however, it is surprisingly idyllic. The city itself is attractive; with a large amount of Victorian architecture, in particular the train station and the town hall. The modern touches are all there as well; three shopping areas, a varied town centre and some very decent rugby league or Championship football to distract you on the weekend. The nightlife is also impressive, with a decent mixture of pubs and clubs offering students a decent night out once in a while.
