He makes good jokes at times.
His teaching is the least student friendly I've ever encountered and his content is way above an acceptable and manageable difficulty level.
Mildly funny at times.
Unanimously believed to be horrendous at lecturing by all his students. He finds the modules he's teaching too boring so spends the majority of his time teaching things irrelevant to the module he is meant to be teaching and hence does not cover relevant material.
Talented actor, destined for big things ;) Lenient marker tells you what will be in the exam. Entertaining Lectures! Great one liners.
"Well it should be obvious to you!" Terrible lecturer Can't explain maths to mere mortals Examples & Problem Sheets too hard for demonstrators let alone 1st year potatoes! Makes huge jumps in working. Extremely condescending.
makes a rlly good drinking game that swampy atmosphere only inspired me to turn up to 3 lectures/my funeral so more free time
that swampy atmosphere kills kids dreams creatures is not an acceptable term 'obvious/trivial' na m8 8 hour homework but why like srsly why the literal grinch
Lovely man Always happy to help if you ask Sexy af and super swaggy jeans Utter babe
Slightly insane Lectures difficult to follow and remind you that you are as thick as a planck
He is incredibly funny and borderline mad. His jokes are truly one of a kind and no Physics student of UoB has had a complete University experience if they have not been to his lecture. He's only mean at times.
Most of the lectures he spends teaching stuff you don't need to know, teaches at a difficulty level that is unacceptably high and in the end you really don't gain anything from attending his lectures. He spends 90% of the time proving something that you don't need to know how to prove, and in the end you might not even need the thing itself. He then attempts to cover something essential in 5 minutes and comes to the conclusion that you all should know that by now. Also, his handwriting is horrible, although he will write bigger if asked to. I'd suggest you check his notes on canvas, watch related YouTube videos and attend Guided studies.
Occasionally funny and comprehensive notes online which you will need since you will likely have to re-teach yourself the lecture content at home.
Lectures paced with no thought for note takers and with content made incomprehensibly difficult seemingly for his own amusement due to his own disdain for the "trivial" maths he is meant to be teaching. If he only wants to teach 4th years then for god's sake let him rather than forcing him to make 1st years feel incompetent and lost.
Very memeable, good eyebrows
He can't teach like he's got a mental block against explaining things
