A town with a population nearing 60,000, situated right in the middle of England, between Leicester and Nottingham. This is a friendly market town which relies on the university for the majority of employment. The university itself is based on the edge of the town in one big campus, allowing for a comfortable and safe student experience. With alumni such as Sir Clive Woodward, Lord Sebastian Coe and Paula Radcliffe you would have never guessed that Loughborough University has an excellent reputation for sport. Transport around the town is good and moving around the country is also relatively easy, with the M1 only two miles away. For a taste of big city life, the aforementioned cities are 10-15 miles away.
