When Khurram Wadee pulls his head out of his own arse, he is clearly a very intelligent man, but he's certainly not cut out for imparting knowledge on others.
Welcome To The Khurram Wadee Ego Show. Where to begin? The man would rather show his intellectual superiority over you than teach you. He will make you feel like an idiot who knows nothing, and at the same time like you cannot raise your hand and ask questions. He'll do anything to make sure you don't get 100%. E.G. he deducted points in an assignment for using the wrong language device (split infinitive)... in an ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS class. It is clear to see that Wadee was raised in a different time and place to modern day England, and this shows through his "talking at you" lecturing style and militant demeaning nature. If you're unfortunate enough to have a class with him, good luck.
When you sit down, shut up and turn off your phone (and your classmates do likewise) you might be surprised at how much you can learn from him. With zero tolerance for walking in late, talking during lectures and any other minor transgression, you find that he spends a significant portion of each lecture berating people, but other than that, he knows what he's talking about when it comes to structures. If you ask reasonable questions during lectures, you will more often than not get well thought out, reasonable, helpful answers. His language is clear, concise and in perfect English, which is a breath of fresh air in comparison to some other engineering lecturers. Protip: Be on time to his lectures and don't talk during them, or you will be humiliated in front of your peers. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Undoubtedly the most old-school (i.e. disciplinarian, arrogant, my-work-is-more-important-than-students) of the lecturers in the engineering department, he is intimidating and not really approachable by mere mortal students. While I understand his perpetual annoyance at latecomers and people who talk during lectures, taking 5 minutes to berate someone for whatever minor transgression is a waste of valuable lecture time.
