Most cities have a university; the University of Cambridge has its own city. Although in terms of size and cathedrals it is a smallish town. The city itself is stunning and the main university certainly adds to it. The population is just over 100,000 and the students make up just over 20,000 of this number, thanks to the two main universities. The city is small and it is easy to move around on foot, an excellent way to save money! There is also a respectable contrast in entertainment, why not hire a punt during the day, look sophisticated, then in the evening, head to a pub/club and become a little less respectable...?
