Not the first place you think of when you consider the south coast, but, with seven miles of 'golden sands' and a very respectable climate this is a place that really deserves consideration. With beaches to the south, the New Forest to the north and a constantly expanding nightlife in the town centre as well as 18,000 students this is most definitely a vibrant option. For the more adventurous students, you could also pop over the channel for a 'sophisticated' weekend in France or travel down to Cornwall for some surfing. Then again, you could head to the library?
