Birmingham is the second largest city in the UK, a vibrant metropolis with everything 'urban' a student could want for. With around 65,000 students present, there is an understandable focus in providing for the youthful population, nightlife included. Birmingham has seen huge investment in recent times, one of the main features being The Bull Ring, the most popular shopping centre in the UK which plays host to over 160 stores... take note girls! The universities are all within a couple of miles of the city centre and transport to and from the city is far superior to most.
