The city is located in the north west of Wales; the population is around 24,000 with a considerable number being students (10,000) all of whom go to Bangor University. With a history that dates back to the 6th century AD and quite possibly the longest high street in the UK there is plenty of culture here. There is also the stunning Welsh countryside to consider. A university town with plenty of opportunity to balance country and city and for those interested, Bangor University has a male: female split of approx. 44:56, something to bear in mind?
